I check my friends list pretty frequently and it doesn't seem to have the following that it used to in high school, the glory days when you had to be up on the latest LJ beef or no one would even, like, talk to you.

pretty sure this is my last entry, 19 is too damn old for a internet blog (unless you're famous)
other things that dont apply when you turn 19:
-soco amaretto lime no longer meaningful
-smoking cigarettes no longer cool
-looking at porn no longer sexy
-playing the lotto becomes less of a novelty and more white trash
-getting tattoos...still cool
-going to bars to "chill" but still not being able to "spill" for 2 more years, so-so
-girls i can date's minimum age going up a year, lame (so now the cut off is 15 i guess is he kidding?!?)
-being 19 and not 20, awesome
-getting the guys in the quad to drink 19 40s, also awesome
-saying im 19 years young, also so-so |

i couldnt resist to do this after i saw Nate's
"Take The First Sentence From The First Post Of Each Month Of 2004. That's Your Year In Review."
January: yea i finally got that LJ.
February: so i guess you may have heard, my b day party is canceled most likely.
March: i really love the postal service because theyre mad smart, have a girl singer, and i liked techno even before i liked emo and this is the perfect combination.
April: everyday i have to remind my mom its spring break by yelling spring break 04 or 2k4 preferably at 3 in the morning.
May: long time no update, i saw mean girls last night and it was tight.
June: after work me, drew, joe f, and chris loaded up me and chriss cars and drove down to ocean city.
July: the new taking back sunday cd is so good.

2004
January
- weak new years eve party (i have terrible luck on new years. in fact as im typing this im nursing a swollen eye from basketball, hoping it wont turn black before the parties tonight)
- canada: one of the funnest weekends and rooms of my life with sam, adam, joe h, kenny, and sometimes dennis
- went out with marie for a little while, had fun
February
- me and the gooch turned 18
- had a hernia and got surgery the day after my birthday
- took painkillers for the hernia and got depressed
- finally went back to school
March
- went out with lauren for a while
- chris turned 18, still not a man though
April
- a completely forgettable month, probably rainy
May
- prom, pretty sweet
- got out of school
- beach week, night of 12 Js, the incredible hulk, first time i've ever seen blair witch
June
- night of 12 Js carried over into june, june 1st in fact
- graduation
- worked at the pool
July
- pretty much only worked
- epic pool party, margarita machine right by the high dive
August
- still worked a lot
- countdown to college
September
- went to towson
- got caught drinking and written up ($50 fine and a class)
- college bro-mode
October
- didnt really do anything for halloween
- more collegiate drinking and debauchery
November
- thanksgiving break, all the boys back together, pretty fun
December
- visited roosevelt
- had a good christmas
- gave up on certain things and trying to persue others
which brings us to tonight, 2005 is gonna be interesting.
here are the things i salute in 2004 though:
pre-gaming, saying things are awkward, telling people we arent in high school anymore, playing piano, buying cigars legally, looking at porn unashamedly in book stores, thefacebook.com, living alone, graduating from things, writing for the newspaper, blaming it on the rain, having weird injuries, hardcore shows, people i know being in bands, emo concerts, stealing music, Cheverly Boys: the movie, showing the cheverly boy movie to every girl who comes to my room...and them liking it, platonic spooning, girls going for hugs and giving them high fives instead, knowing who your friends are, seeing plays and ballets, watching movies, singing in a band, the gooch, duece, the weasel, danno, rage, greg, adding a girl and a black guy to your crew for diversity, people still thinking we were smoking crack during beach week, road trips, irrational fears, the OC, Popular, movies with vince vaughn and/or will ferrel and/or ben stiller, commercial stars, girls who are stupid but theyre in college, guys who are smart but aren't in college, zach braff, scrubs, pairing white guys and black guys in any situation, roommates from MoCo, feeling better than everyone at school because theyre racist/ignorant, busting good grades in college, boxed dvd sets, iPods, tickle me elmos, furbies, gigapets, tattoos, piercings, being a non-conformist, shopping at hot topic, voting for nader, movies with hidden agendas, movies with ridiculously blatent agendas, charlie kaufman still having the game on lock, indie movies that do better than shitty hollywood ones, sledgehammer bikes, ligers, conan in 2010, getting buttered, hammerjacks, high fives, driving your moms car, paid internships, month and a half breaks, girls who actually call, keeping in touch, something corporate, and going on dates with people voted most attractive. |

i pulled my first all nighter as of now. its 7 am and i didnt go to sleep last(?) night.
i just really wanted to listen to music so i took some of justin's aderol and me and him stayed up all night, he was editing a video and i was just doing absolutely nothing.
well not nothing:
-i was on facebook for a long time
-listened to 186 songs
-drank 3 frapaccinos
-edited pics
-chatted with anyone who was awake
-printed sheet music for coldplay songs to learn on the piano
-did a film analysis for class
-peed a lot
-helped justin with the creative decisions for his vid
-reminisced on LJ (remember when i made sarah diginnero's list of jerks? lol)
-thought about how lucky i am that one of my biggest problems is that sometimes my internet loads slow
-sent justin some emo songs over IM, which tranfers at a ridiculously fast rate
-looked at my name and cheverly boys on google
and accidentally discovered an old xanga that i didnt know existed and i dont know how i feel about it, it did bring back some good memories but
i have two classes today then im going home and, thanks to sarah r, to the terps game with danno tonight, then hopefully getting buttered with the whole cheverly boy (and girl) crew |

yes, i do have the right to vote but i didnt exercise it, in MD if i wrote in donald duck it wouldnt change shit. kerry won MD by a landslide, my vote WOULDNT have helped or hindered.
i also have the right to bear arms, but i dont exercise that right either. just because there is something i CAN do, doesnt mean by any means that i feel obligated to do it.
if it's hard to be an american right now...move, i dare you to live in another country. speaking from personal experience i have it better here than i would in China (where i would have been put in an orphanage at birth because of my cleft lip) or Hungary (where people are just poorer in general and dont really have the freedoms we take for granted no matter what you think). They are both beautiful countries where plenty of people have great lives, but for me personally i thank God i live in America. but those are the only other countries ive been to, so i cant speak for all of them.
it's whatever though, i didnt vote even though p diddy told me too
and dont think im condoning the war, that is really messed up. i know I personally wont kill another person, which to me is better than a vote. |
